On Thursday, December 4, the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) organised the Annual Conference, under the overarching theme: 15/15 Vision: Looking Back, Moving Forward. The Conference took place at the Hotel des Indes in The Hague.

ICCT was established in 2010 to support and strengthen policies that seek to prevent terrorism and violent extremism. Over the past fifteen years, the threat landscape has changed dramatically, but the need for scientific research and policy advice remains unchanged. As one of the leading centres of expertise on these issues worldwide, ICCT stays committed to its initial task.
On the occasion of ICCT's 15th anniversary, we wanted to reflect on the most significant developments in the fields of counter-terrorism and the prevention of violent extremism, on key achievements at various levels of governance, and on some of the most significant challenges that remain ahead. These significant developments were discussed throughout the day, and benefited from two brilliant and engaging keynote interventions, by Professor Peter Neumann and NCTV Acting Director Wieke Vink. Several panels addressed key trends in terrorism and core policy needs successively.
