On Friday, 2nd of February 2024, Tanya Mehra was invited as a speaker in the podcast Asymmetrical Haircuts, to discuss the recently released book "Female Jihadis Facing Justice: Comparing Approaches in Europe" and the research on women who were a part of IS and have returned to Europe, how should they be persecuted and reintegrate back into society.
Tanya focused on female jihadis, explaining how they are often perceived as either innocent victims or evil monsters and how they are prosecuted once they return home from the so-called IS caliphate to Europe.
