On Wednesday, 10th of April 2024, the Belgium news site RTL info interviewed Thomas Renard on the recently released book "Russia and the Far-Right: Insights From Ten European Countries."
“In Europe, independently of Russia, there has been a rise in populism and extremism,” underlines Renard. “ Russia observed this and sought to use one of the levers it has to buy networks of influence, in particular through financial loans to far-right parties, such as the National Front, which became the National Rally, in France", he added.
