ICCT in the Media: Teun van Dongen on Twitter's new privacy measures

On 14 December 2021, ICCT Senior Research Fellow and Programme Lead Teun van Dongen spoke with Dutch newspaper NRC regarding a new rule Twitter has implemented that aims to better protect the privacy of users, but has so far resulted in a large number of extremism researchers having their accounts blocked. In this article, Teun discusses the importance of studying right-wing extremism and the future impacts this policy may have on extremism research.
