Anna-Maria Andreeva

Anna-Maria is the Managing Editor of Perspectives on Terrorism and ICCT Publications, as well as a Junior Research Fellow at ICCT. She joined the organisation in 2020 after having worked for an NGO collecting battlefield evidence and documenting the atrocities in Syria and Iraq. She also previously worked at the TMC Asser Institute, under the Global Counterterrorism Forum project.

Anna-Maria holds an MSc in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University, and a BSc in Anthropology from Brunel University. Her research interests seek to combine these two academic backgrounds through a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration of violent extremist offenders, risk assessment, and the impact on and involvement of women in conflict. Her geographic scope is on the MENA region and Europe.
