Countering Terrorist Narratives

ICCT was asked by the EU Parliament LIBE committee to produce a study into the latest approaches to Countering Terrorist Narratives and to present the findings to the LIBRE committee in Brussels. The research paper aimed to, in particular:

• provide an overview of the actions taken and projects set up on a global level;
• provide an overview of the actions taken and projects set up on EU level;
• present approaches from a selection of EU MS and third countries; and
•  as a conclusion, formulate recommendations or policy options for a European narrative countering terrorism, particularly on social media.
