ICCT senior project leader, Tanya Mehra was part of a three person panel on the 'TRT World' channel discussing why countries are refusing to help their citizens in refugee camps. She spoke about both the moral and legal obligation of a state to bring back its citizens and she stressed that leaving these citizens in refugee camps would lead to further radicalisation, human rights abuses and additional security implications further down the line.
