On Thursday 19th of October 2023, Thomas Renard was interviewed by Sveriges Radio, Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcaster.
He commented on the attack on Monday, 16th October, that killed two Swedes. "It was only a matter of time", he said, because the threat from Jihadists has been progressively increasing. He questioned whether the threat to Swedes due to the Koran burnings was fully considered before the European Championship qualifier against Belgium on Monday.
