On May 20, Spiegel Ausland reported the arrest of an Iraqi man, Mohamed Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, whom U.S. authorities accuse of organising a wave of pro-Iranian arson attacks across Europe targeting Jewish sites and American interests. As part of the report, Julian Lanchès, Research Fellow at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT), warned that as long as the conflict with Iran continues, attacks in the West orchestrated by pro-Iranian militias may continue in the future.
