Cameron Sumpter

Cameron Sumpter is an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre of Excellence for National Security (CENS), a constituent unit of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He holds an MA with first-class honours from the University of Auckland, where he wrote his thesis on prison-based deradicalisation and disengagement strategies. Cameron conducts regular field work in Indonesia, investigating state and civil society efforts to prevent and counter violent extremism. His research interests include processes of radicalisation, prison-based disengagement strategies, and civil society initiatives to prevent/counter violent extremism (P/CVE).
