Francesco Marone

Dr. Francesco Marone is an Associate Fellow for the Current and Emerging Threats programme.

He is an Adjunct Professor of International Politics at the University of Aosta Valley, Italy, a Fellow of the Program on Extremism at George Washington University, US, and an Associate Research Fellow of ISPI - Italian Institute for International Political Studies, Italy.

His current research interests include terrorism, counter-terrorism, violent extremism, and security threats.

Dr. Marone has appeared in various media outlets (The Washington Post, Le Figaro, El País, Die Welt, Haaretz, etc.). His research has been featured or cited in several news outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, CBS, BBC World, Le Figaro, Le Parisien, Asharq al-Awsat English, El País, Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, and La Stampa.
