Michèle Coninsx

Michèle Coninsx has been appointed as Executive Director of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate based in New York in 2017. Before, as National Member for Belgium, she was elected President of Eurojust in 2012, and re-elected in 2015, after serving as Vice-President from December 2007 to April 2012. She has more than 25 years’ experience as a prosecutor. She worked for nine years for the International Civil Aviation Organisation and was responsible for anti-terrorism relating to aircraft sabotage and hijacking. Before joining Eurojust, she was a National Prosecutor in Belgium dealing with terrorism and organised crime at country-wide level.
