Pierre Cresson

Pierre joined the ICCT in October 2023 as the Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism Intern. He is currently following a M.Sc. in Crisis and Security Management with a specialisation in Crisis Management at Leiden University. Pierre holds a B.Sc. degree in International Relations, in which he completed a minor in Security, Safety and Justice (TU Delft). He wrote his BA thesis on the European Parliament’s narrative construction in the wake of the war in Ukraine.  

Prior to joining the ICCT, Pierre worked as a research assistant at Leiden University on topics related to Counter-Terrorism practices, and contributed to the drafting of Strategical Autonomy report for the EEAS. Beyond that, Pierre is enthusiastic about security politic, democratic back-sliding, narrative construction and European Strategical Autonomy.
