Rashmi is an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). She is Associate Editor of Perspectives on Terrorism. Her work mainly relates to violent groups engaged in campaigns of national independenc and to transnational terrorist groups (Al Qaeda), dedicated Islamist proxies counter-terrorism responses and issues of national security. She is an area specialist with regional expertise in both the Middle East and South Asia.
