Compatible or Incompatible? Intelligence and Human Rights in Terrorist Trials

02 Mar 2011

On 3 March 2011, ICCT organised an Expert Meeting on the use of intelligence in terrorist trials. The Expert Meeting focused on the special procedures of Canada, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom for the use of intelligence in terrorism-related court cases, examining their effectiveness and compatibility with human rights standards. This Expert Meeting Paper is a further adaptation of the Discussion Paper by Dr. Quirine Eijkman and Dr. Bibi van Ginkel that was used as basis for debate during the Meeting and includes a number of the conclusions and recommendations that resulted from the session.
