On Tuesday 4 April, 2023, from 16:00-17:30 (CET), the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) launched a Live Webinar to Assess the State of Terrorism Studies with ISGA and CSTPV on the occasion of the new Perspectives on Terrorism partnership, website, re-branding and issue release. The field of terrorism studies has evolved over the past years, and a panel of distinguished experts reflected on this evolution and explored future directions.

Alex P. Schmid is a Distinguished Fellow at ICCT and Director of the Terrorism Research Initiative (TRI), an international network of scholars who seek to enhance human security through collaborative research. He is also the co-editor of Perspectives on Terrorism.
James Forest is an ICCT Distinguished Fellow and the Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives on Terrorism. Forest, is a Professor in the School of Criminology and Justice Studies at UMass Lowell, where he teaches undergraduate, master's and doctoral degree courses on contemporary security studies, terrorism and counterterrorism, homeland security, weapons of mass destruction, and other related topics.
Joana Cook is a Senior Project Manager at ICCT and Editor-in-Chief of ICCT Publications. She is also an Assistant Professor of Terrorism and Political Violence at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA) at Leiden University.
Tim Wilson is the Director of the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) at the University of St Andrews. In over ten years of teaching and researching at top universities (Oxford, St Andrews, Queen’s Belfast) he has worked widely both on terrorism committed by governments, and by their opponents.
Graig Klein is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA) at Leiden University. His research focuses on political violence, conflict processes, international & national security as well as terrorism.
