ICCT Associate Fellow Featured in The Atlantic

Writing in The Atlantic, ICCT Associate Fellow J.M. Berger presents the historical context of white nationalism before focusing on an analysis of the famous racist novel The Turner Diaries. In particular, he argues that the novel has not only been instrumental in inspiring violence, but has played a key role in shaping white nationalism and its modern day resurgence. While Berger clarifies that transitions within the movement cannot be solely attributed to the novel, its powerful influences should be recognised as they have lasted even until today.
