On 20 December 2016, ICCT Associate Fellow J.M. Berger was featured in The Washington Post article: "Tech companies ‘profit from ISIS,’ allege families of Orlando shooting victims in federal lawsuit".

The article examines the role that social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter play in the recruitment process of so-called Islamic State and the revenue they receive through established advertisement mechanisms.
